The Clip Naming Convention can be defined for all sessions created under your OpenReel account. This can be done by navigating to Settings, then to Session Settings, and selecting from the 4 drop-down menus. This is a global setting and will be the default when creating a new Session.
*Only the first 2 fields need to be defined. If you do not want to name files beyond that, select N/A for the remaining fields.
Although these will be the default settings, they can be adjusted for each individual Project created. Clicking the 3 Dots to the right of the Project information screen to bring up the Project Settings window.
From this window, you can re-define the Clip Naming Convention for this particular project. These settings will not affect other Projects under your OpenReel account.
When you click Record in your Session, the following dialogue box will pop up. All of the fields that you defined in the Project/Session settings will auto-populate. If you selected Manual Entry for any fields, you will need to fill them in where it says Enter Here before clicking Start Recording.
After you are finished recording, the recorded clips will appear under Session Clips. The clips will be named according to the fields you defined, and a time stamp will be added to the end.
