There are two ways to adjust Brightness with OpenReel.
1. Set an Exposure Marker on the Preview Screen
This is the easiest way to change the exposure in the frame. If you right-click anywhere within the preview screen of the connected device, it will drop an exposure marker. The marker appears as a yellow box. Right-click in another location to move the marker. The Brightness will adjust depending on where your marker is placed.
Tip: If you bring the exposure marker to a blown out light source, you will see the shot will becomevery dim, bringing down the intensity of any lights. If you bring the exposure marker to a darker source in the frame, you will see the shot will become very bright and possibly over-exposed.
2. From the Camera Settings Panel
To access the Camera Settings panel, select the icon in the top left corner of your Subject’s preview screen or the Adjustments tab above the director feed.
.
Select Brightness
Move the slider left or right to adjust.
You can toggle AE Lock to the on position to lock in the settings. You will see the exposure marker change to a red color when this setting is on.
