Understand & Adjusting Frame Rate
FPS = Frames Per Second
Frames Per Second (or Frame Rate) is the number of frames captured every second.
Different Frame Rates
OR Capture 1.0 gives directors the option to film in 3 different frame rates.
NOTE: The frame rate always defaults to 30
24 FPS
Minimum frame rate needed to capture video in realistic motion.
30 FPS *Default*
Video standard, and the OR Capture 1.0 default. Videos with more motion will benefit from the extra frames per second.
60 FPS
Typically used to capture high action or very busy footage (think: sporting event). Also used to capture footage that will be edited to slow motion in post-production.
To Access FPS Settings:
- Expand the Camera Settings panel from the lower left hand corner or the room.
2. Next, select the FPS drop down.
