Think about a Session like a video shoot. Every time you, as the Director, start a new video shoot, you will create a new Session within the associated Project. Creating new Sessions in advance of each video shoot streamlines the production process!
Create a New Session
After logging in to remote.openreel.com and arriving at the main dashboard, click on the left sidebar and select Projects.
Either select an existing Project or create a new one.
Once inside a Project, navigate to the Sessions list located in the top right corner of the main Project page and click the blue plus button. This will create a new Session within the Project.
Name the Session, invite your Subjects and your Collaborators by email. Then click Create Session.
Once the Session is created, it will appear in the Session list on the right. Just click Enter Session to go in and start recording!
Edit a Session
You can edit the title or invitees of a Session after its been created. Simply click on the 3 dots next to the Session and select Edit Session.
Here you can change the name and invite external participants or grant access to internal team members. Click Update when you’re finished.
Archive a Session
Need to clean up or declutter a Project? Just archive some Sessions! Currently, Sessions may not be permanently deleted.
Simply click on the 3 dots next to a Session and select Archive Session.
You will be asked to confirm the decision.
Now your Session is archived!
If you need to un-archive a Session, simply click the 3 dots next to the Session list and select View Archived Sessions.
You will see a list of archived Sessions in that Project. Click Restore Session.
You will be asked to confirm the decision.
When you navigate back to the Project dashboard, you’ll see the restored Session in the Session list.
