To record a video on OpenReel, you, the Director, will first need to create a Project and then a Session.
Start Recording
Once the Subject is in the Session, click on the red recording button on the Subject’s screen.
A prompt will appear showcasing the pre-named recording based on your clip naming conventions and the Subject’s device. Click on the Start Recording button.
Note: Make sure that the Subject’s device is check-marked before clicking on the Start Recording button.
The Director and the Subject will both receive a countdown indicating that the recording is about to start. When the recording starts you will see a red border around the Subject’s screen, indicating the recording is in progress.
Webcam Subjects will see the recording has started through the time indicator in the lower left of their screen.
Stop Recording
When you are finished, click the red button again to stop the recording.
Naming Conventions for Multiple Recordings
The recordings can be named in the Project settings, by clicking on the 3 dots in the right corner of the Project Name section.
A pop-up menu will appear where you can choose different naming conventions for each clip.
