Resolution Options
- 720: All devices have this as the lowest available resolution and most internal webcams are 720p.
- 1080: The most commonly used resolution, and most external Webcams will max out at 1080.
- 4k: Only select mobile devices have 4k capability on front and back. Please refer to this article for specifics. Some webcams will have 4k abilities, as will DSLRs.
Resolution
Resolution involves the number of pixel dimensions within a video that the camera will capture.
To access the Camera Settings panel, select the gear icon in the top left corner of your Subject’s preview screen or the Adjustments tab above the director feed.
Select Resolution. Then, select the desired resolution
Resolution choices are device-dependent. If a camera does not support a specific setting adjustment, the OpenReel platform will display a notification saying "Unsupported by device".
Choosing the best resolution for your video depends on 3 factors:
- File size
- Upload time
- Intended distribution.

Flip the Camera
Click the View option to switch between front and back cameras.
Note: You can not flip the camera during a recording.
