Changing Advanced Settings on Remote Devices Paired to Your Room
The majority of the remote device options are settings that you can adjust when you are using the MultiCam feature and have multiple devices paired to your room.
To access these settings:
Session Options > Remote Devices > Remote Devices Options.
NOTE: If you would like to change any of these settings, change the setting, then press "Save" then "Close".
1. Allow Multiple Devices
It allows you to utilize the MultiCam feature which gives you the ability to pair multiple subjects to the same room. This will let you capture multiple angles of your subject or simultaneously capture multiple subjects in different locations. This setting defaults to "On" in every session.
2. Camera Options
When multiple devices are paired to the same room, you can choose for the camera controls to start and stop: together or separately. These camera controls include: flip camera, adjust exposure, adjust focus, start and stop recording. This setting is defaulted to "Together" in every session.
Example: When Together is selecting, pressing flip camera will flip the camera on both of the subject's phones.
3. Audio Feed
When multiple devices are connected to the same room, the director can control who the subject hears. You have the following options:
- All - the subject can hear the director, all collaborators, and all subjects in the room. *this is the default setting*
- All Admin - the subject can hear the director, and all collaborators, but cannot hear the other subjects in the room
- Only Active Admin - the subject can hear only the director
- Only Active Admin + Other Remote Devices - the subject can hear only the director and other subjects, the subject cannot hear any collaborators.
4. Zoom, Flashlight & Auto Join
Zoom - Toggling this setting to on will give you the ability to Zoom in on the your subject's phone or tablet.
Flashlight - Toggling this setting to on will turn the subject's phone or tablet's flash on to act as a flashlight
Remote Device Auto Join - Toggling this setting to on before your subject joins the room will join them directly to the room. When joining from a phone they will enter the session ID, their name, check the box and press continue - they will be directed into the room and will not need to press join. When joining from a webcam they will click the link in their email and join directly to the room.
